Chamonix, Megève and Courchevel draw visitors from all over the world, and many of them arrive through Geneva. For an owner, that is the appeal of a car concierge service in Chamonix, Megève and Courchevel: a premium car that would otherwise wait for your next stay can be rented to this clientele, while Corsiva runs the logistics from its base in Chambéry. Here is how it works in the resorts, season by season.

In short

Five things to know
  • Resort clients are often international and many arrive through Geneva, one of the airports we serve.
  • Two seasons: winter for skiing, summer for mountain holidays, road trips and weddings.
  • The whole fleet is based in Chambéry: your car is kept in our garages or at your home, with the logistics agreed at the first meeting.
  • Self-drive or chauffeur-driven, your choice, and you keep 70% of the rental income.
  • You block the weeks you spend in the resort; no commitment, stop on simple notice.

Why the resorts are a market of their own

Resort demand is not city demand. Visitors come for a week or a weekend, often from abroad, and many fly into Geneva. Some want a car for the whole stay; others only for an evening, a transfer or a day trip to Annecy. A car that suits the mountains, with four or five seats, room for luggage and composure on snowy roads, answers that demand.

It is also a clientele that expects service: a car delivered to the chalet, a chauffeur for the evening, a car ready at the agreed time. That is everyday work for Corsiva, which already delivers its cars to the ski resorts, from Courchevel to Val Thorens.

Chamonix, Megève, Courchevel: three different resorts

  • Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc and close to the Swiss and Italian borders, is a mountaineering and skiing town that stays busy all year round.
  • Megève, also in Haute-Savoie, is a village resort known for its chalets, its old centre and its restaurants.
  • Courchevel, in Savoie, is part of the 3 Vallées ski area. We deliver cars to its chalets and palaces, and on 7 and 8 April 2026 our Porsche Taycan took part in a shoot at the Manali Lodge, a five-star hotel in Courchevel Moriond.

The first two are reached mostly from Geneva; Courchevel from Geneva, Lyon or Chambéry. For an owner, the question is less the resort itself than when the car is available, and how it reaches the customer.

Logistics from Chambéry

The whole Corsiva fleet is based in Chambéry, in our garages on rue Marguerite Sevez. For a car whose owner lives or stays in a resort, two arrangements are possible, and the choice is made at the first meeting:

  • Our garages in Chambéry. Your car joins the fleet, prepared and ready to go, and is delivered to the resort for each rental, like the rest of the fleet.
  • Planned transfers. Your car stays with you, and we organise collection and return around each rental, with a photo and video record every time.

Either way, the details (who moves the car, when and how) are settled at the meeting, not improvised in high season. Our guide for owners in the French Alps explains both options in full.

Winter and summer

In winter, from November to March, the whole Corsiva fleet runs on winter tyres or chains, at no extra cost to renters. A 4x4 such as the Mercedes-AMG G 63 2025 is at home on snowy roads; in low season, ours rents for €1,000 a day and €2,400 a weekend. You block the weeks you spend at the chalet, and the car works the rest of the time.

In summer, the resorts turn to hiking, mountain passes and lakes, and to weddings: chauffeur-driven wedding cars are handled by Corsiva Weddings, with 5-hour and 8-hour packages.

Between seasons, demand drops. Occupancy follows the calendar: some weeks the car will go out often, others hardly at all. No income is guaranteed.

Self-drive or chauffeur-driven

Self-drive: verified customers (driving licence, ID and proof of address checked, deposit taken as a card pre-authorisation), 200 km a day included, a digital contract and suitable insurance with AXA, Allianz or Groupama. In the event of at-fault damage, repairs or the excess are charged to the renter.

Chauffeur-driven: a Corsiva chauffeur in a suit takes the wheel for transfers from Geneva, Lyon and Chambéry airports, evenings in the resort and weddings. You choose the mode, or combine both. Our article on chauffeur-driven cars for film shoots, hotels and private jets shows that side of the business.

Getting started

It takes four steps: an evaluation meeting at your home, the contract and your settings (available dates, blocked periods, income simulation), a professional photo shoot, then your car goes live with a dedicated contact person. You keep 70% of the rental income; 30% is Corsiva's management fee. As an indicative benchmark, a BMW M3 Competition rented around 35 days a year represents about €9,800 for its owner over twelve months, or around €817 a month. This is an indicative, non-contractual estimate: no income is guaranteed. Our simulator gives one for your model, and if you are thinking of buying a car for this, read how a dream car can cover part of its own costs.

Your identity is never shared with renters, and there is no commitment: you can pause or stop on simple notice. More than 30 owners have already trusted us with their cars.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rent out my car in Chamonix, Megève or Courchevel?
Yes. Corsiva manages privately owned premium and luxury cars and rents them out, self-drive or with a chauffeur, including to visitors staying in the resorts. You keep 70% of the rental income.
Where is my car kept if I live in a resort?
Either in our garages in Chambéry, where the whole fleet is based, prepared and ready to go, or at your home, with collection and return planned around each rental. The arrangement is settled at the first meeting.
Can I block the weeks I spend at my chalet?
Yes. You set your available dates and blocked periods, change them whenever you like, and can pause or stop the service on simple notice.
Is the car equipped for winter?
Winter equipment is part of the preparation: from November to March, the whole Corsiva fleet runs on winter tyres or chains, at no extra cost to renters.
How much can I earn?
It depends on the model, occupancy and your availability. As an indicative benchmark, a BMW M3 Competition rented around 35 days a year represents about €9,800 for its owner over 12 months. These are non-contractual estimates: no income is guaranteed.
